Talks returning soon! Introducing a collaboration with the VCA Centre for Cultural Partnerships

The words talk series will kick off again in March at a brand new location!

In 2013, Architects for Peace will partner with the Centre for Cultural Partnerships at the Faculty of the Victorian College of the Arts, The University of Melbourne to deliver talks at VCA’s Southbank campus.  The CCP recognises that the arts can be a powerful medium for social change, and is committed to exploring this potential through inter-cultural methods of enquiry and collaboration. You can find out more about them here.

This is the first major venue shift we’ve made since the series commenced in 2005 within the RMIT Public Art Department. Many thanks are due to RMIT (particularly Geoff Hogg and Ceri Hann in Public Art) for supporting us over the past 7 years.

We look forward to continuing a critical dialogue on social justice in the built environment in a new space – and the opportunity for A4P and the CCP to jointly grow through sharing networks, crossing disciplinary and institutional boundaries. We have been busily planning this year’s program with James Oliver at the CCP. The first talk will take place on Thursday 7 March at the VCA in Southbank. Further details coming soon – in the meantime, here’s a clue below…
